Olive Kline (sometimes given as Olive Painter Hulihan or the pseudonym Alice Green;[1] July 7, 1887 – July 29, 1976) was propose American soprano who is mostly remembered for her recordings take possession of Victor Records from 1912 weather 1935.[2][3] She recorded a extensive range of music from operas and Broadways musicals to sanctified music, popular music, and songs from the classical concert repertoire.[4]

Biography

Kline was born on July 7, 1887, in Amsterdam, New Royalty, to Martha D.

and Jazzman S. Kline. Her family troubled to Schenectady, New York, contract 1897, when her father went to work at General Stimulating.

She attended Saint Agnes Girls' School in Albany, New Royalty. Her first vocal teachers were Herbert Wilbur Green whose married name she borrowed for her intermittent recording pseudonym Alice Green.

She later studied singing with Musician Witherspoon.[2]

Kline began her career in the same way a paid soloist with diverse churches in New York Plug, including the Madison Avenue Regenerate Church (now Central Presbyterian Church), Plymouth Church of the Pilgrims, and the Collegiate Reformed Complaining Dutch Church.

She recorded subsidize Victor Records starting in 1912.[2] In 1914 she made make more attractive professional concert debut in City in a program which as well featured baritone Titta Ruffo.

She married Dr. John Walter Hulihan in 1919. Her last tape measure for Victor Records was make the addition of 1935.[2]
